KOLD KUTTER      shootout

AMA Racing will recognize its first champions of 2015 at the Feb 14-15  AMA Racing Ice Race Grand Championship. This extreme event, promoted by North American Action Sports (NAAS), will take place on Lake Koshkonong at the Oaklawn Academy in Edgerton Wisconsin.

“After many years the Ice Race Grand Championship returns to Wisconsin” said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant.  "The winter months bring out some of the most dedicated racers and the best of the best converge at the Ice Race Grand Championship," "We're looking forward to working with NAAS to offer our racers a top-level program and a great facility."

“New to the Ice Race Grand Championship will be the Ice GP track! Due to the growing popularity of the GP style tracks we will be adding this style of track that includes multiple left and right turns as well as the traditional half mile track. That’s right two different tracks. For this year there will select classes for the Ice GP Track mainly big bikes”

The AMA Racing Ice Race Grand Championship feature classes for riders from 4 years old to 50-plus competing on bikes that range from lightly modified off-road machines to full-on, purpose-built ice racers. Riders will battle for AMA Ice Racing Championship No. 1 plates in a number of classes. The top riders at the event also will compete for the AMA Racing Ice Racer of the Year award, given to the most impressive rider on the ice, while the youth riders will chase the honor of AMA Racing Youth Rider of the Year.

"The NAAS team and Wisconsin Ice Racing organizers  are very excited about this event returning to Wisconsin at the beautiful location of the Oaklawn Academy which is an international private boarding school that strives to provide the most appropriate environment: facilities, programs and personnel, for the Integral Formation® of young men as Christian leaders.
